Ship´s Registration

Ship´s Registration is a process by which a Vessel is documented and given the nationality of the country that the ship has been documented to. The nationality (flag of the vessel) allows a ship to travel internationally and trade as it is proof of its ownership.

In our organization, we could provide guidelines on,

  • Provisional and permanent registration
  • Mortgage Registration
  • Certificate of ownership
  • Bare board (dual registration)
  • Deletion Certificate
  • Manning Certificate, etc.

Ship´s Management

Vessel management is the comprehensive process of managing a ship to ensure it operates safely and is seaworthy. Our organization is fully committed to maintaining the ship’s efficiency and profitability.

Our manning services cover the ship´s management, crew training (virtually or onboard), maintenance, repairs, and ensuring the safety of the engineering systems.

Also our team, under the ship´s owner’s request may take a role in the commercial management,  securing contracts, analyzing market trends, and determining profitable routes. Finally, safety onboard the vessel, implementing safety standards and procedures.

Ship´s Survey and Certification

All ships must be surveyed and verified by officers of the flag State Administrations or their recognized organizations (ROs)/recognized security organizations (RSOs)/nominated surveyors so that relevant certificates can be issued to establish that the ships are designed, constructed, maintained and managed in compliance with the requirements of IMO Conventions, Codes, and other instruments.

Pre Registration Inspection

A pre-registration inspection is a review of a vessel confirming that she is in compliance with national and international regulations giving priority to those legal instruments adopted by the flag state.

On / Off Hire

On-Off hire condition and bunker surveys are a requirement for the commercial trade of vessels in that vessels are hired from their Owners by Charterers who trade the cargo internationally.

This inspection is conducted to the vessel at the beginning and/or end of the chartering and aims at checking the overall condition of the vessel.

The on/off hire condition survey is an inspection of vessel’s holds, main deck, cargo working areas and external shell plating. It is performed in order to identify any damage present prior to the vessel going on/off hire.

With regards to the Bunker on board

The bunker survey is required in order to calculate the exact amount of bunkers on board at the time of vessel’s delivery/redelivery.

The vessel is delivered by the owner to the charterer, in case of On-Hire. At this time, usually, the Master issues a Delivery Certificate stating the place, time, parties involved and total amount of bunkers on board.

In case of redelivery, the vessel is redelivered by charterer to the owner by the end of the chartering (Off Hire), when it is issued the “Redelivery Certificate”.

The survey of the vessel is undertaken either before the vessel is delivered into a Charter, or re-delivered from a Charter.

Pre Purchase Inspection

The purpose of the survey is to gather as much information about the actual condition of the vessel before purchase. The survey will consist of an inspection of the topsides, hull, cabin and interior that are normally accessible.

A haul out and inspection of the hull bottom and running gear. An examination of the visible structural supports of the vessel. The fuel system, steering system, electrical system, sanitation system, electronics and safety equipment are inspected and tested to ascertain their operation.

With regards to the ship´s official documents, a throughout examination of ship´s certificate validity, any class report, including any pending items or outstanding, and the history of service records when available. A current market valuation and replacement valuation of the vessel will also be given (upon request).

Insurance Survey and Valuations

This type of survey is meant to be a general overview of the vessel and its systems for insurance underwriting and financing. Is intended for use by insurance and finance companies to determine the underwriting decision of a particular vessel.

This survey will not approach the level of a pre-purchase survey. The primary focus is to identify the vessel, its equipment, overall condition, and general value without testing full system operation. It also seeks to identify hazardous conditions that pose a safety risk to the vessel, its passengers, and to the environment.

Dry Dock Planning and Execution

Dry dock planning and execution involves organizing and carrying out the maintenance and repair of a ship while it is out of the water. This process is important for the safety and functionality of the ship.

We do have the experience of helping the owner make a detailed plan of the work to be done, as well as schedule in coordination with the shipyard personnel. Arranging materials and managing the budget is also part of the planning.

The dry dock execution is also important, in fact, supervising the removing the ship from the water is a specialized and critical operation that must be under the owner’s supervision and approval.

Inspect and repair: Clean, inspect, and repair the parts of the ship that are usually submerged

Dry docking is a vital operation for maintaining the structural integrity and functionality of maritime vessels.
